Sarina Mannaert is a Belgian visual artist, body painter, photographer and make-up artist based in Antwerp.
She transforms the human body into living artworks that explore identity, transformation and visibility. By combining body painting, photography and performance, she creates images that blur the line between craftsmanship and contemporary art while inviting viewers to look beyond first impressions.
Alongside her artistic practice, Sarina has worked for many years as a freelance make-up artist for television productions, where she developed a strong eye for detail, storytelling and the expressive power of the human face and body. These experiences naturally flow into her autonomous artistic work.
In 2025 she published her first art photography book, Pole Animals, a large-scale project in which twelve pole dancers were transformed into animals through hand-painted body art, challenging stereotypes surrounding both body painting and pole dance.
Through her work, Sarina hopes to create moments of wonder, encourage dialogue and make the invisible visible.
